With this concert, the Molinari Quartet completes its concert cycle of all the string quartets by minimalist American composer Philip Glass. This concert features the last four quartets by the composer. Philip Glass (1937) Suite for Bent (1997) Quartet Satz (2017) Quartet no 8 (2018) Quartet no 9 King Lear (2022)
During this Dialogue, the musicians will perform excerpts of the quartets nos 8 and 9, Suite from Bent and Quartet Satz by Philip Glass. The musicians will also give biographical and historic informations and analyse the works to be played. The public is invited to ask questions to the musicians regarding the works, their interpretation, the preparation work of the musicians before a performance, etc.
