The Quartet According to Glass : Complete cycle of the 11 quartets

After several years of working on Philip Glass’s string quartets, the Molinari Quartet is celebrating the renowned American minimalist composer’s 90th birthday by performing all 11 of his string quartets in a single day!

The quartets will be performed in chronological order over two concerts, beginning with the first five at 3:00 p.m. and continuing at 7:30 p.m. with the remaining quartets.

Through this comprehensive program, the audience will be able to trace the composer’s evolution and experience the great variety and originality of these string works.

To coincide with the concerts, the Molinari Quartet will release its 3-CD box set of Philip Glass’s complete string quartets on the ATMA Classique label.
