The Molinari Quartet is pleased to announce that it is three times finalist for the 2022-23 Opus Prize awards of the Quebec Music Council.

On November 23 2023, the Quebec Music Council announced the finalists for its 27th annuel Opus Prize Gala which will be held on February 4th 2024 at 3 pm at Bourgie Hall of the Montreal Museum of Fine arts.

In the category Concert of the Year – Modern, contemporary music, the concert  Exploration sonore (January 18, 2023) and The Quartet According to Berio (May 19, 2023) are finalists.

In the category Album of the Year – Modern, contemporary music, the CD « Lumières nordiques » with the Molinari Quartet and oboist Vincent Boilard has also been nominated as finalist. In this CD of quintets for oboe and string quartet, you can hear works by Canadian composers Grant, Raum, Parker and Cherney.
