An innovative multimedia creation combining music and immersive video scenography, inspired by the work and destiny of Camille Claudel, an exceptional French sculptor.

Here ‘s a musical journey into the very heart of the sculptures and paintings of women artists that have been ignored for too long!

Intimate Concert : Sound Odyssey (1 pm concert)

Fondation Guido Molinari 3290, rue Sainte-Catherine Est, Montréal, Québec, Canada

The concert Sound Odyssey explores the colours and timbres of the string quartet with surprising works by five composers who push the boundaries of the instruments. Percussions, sound recording, kamacheh (Iranian instrument), resonators and amplification are just some means used by the composers to stretch the limits of the string instruments.

Dialogue on the Plateau : Acoustic Exploration

Get ready for the Acoustic Exploration concert by attending the workshop Dialogue on the Plateau the preceding Sunday. During this activity, you wil hear excerpts of the works to be performed on the December 9 concert, you will get analysis of the works and be able to discuss with the musicians to get a better understanding and appreciation of the works.

Acoustic Exploration: from delicacy to tectonic force!

Conservatoire de Montréal 4750, avenue Henri-Julien, Montréal, QC, Canada

This concert will explore the vast range of sounds that can produce a string quartet and will also underline the centennial year of Iannis Xenakis’ birth with Ergma, a very powerful work. You will also assist to the world premiere of Hologramme Modal for string quartet and kamancheh by Iranian composer and musician Showan Tavakol and hear Krzysztof Penderecki’s very exploratory Quartet No. 1. The Molinari will play Oasis by Azerbaijani composer Franghiz Ali-Zadeh and will close the concert with the revolutionary Quartet no.3 written in 1927 by Béla Bartók.

Pour se mettre dans l’ambiance des Fêtes, le Molinari a invité le hautboïste Vincent Boilard, hautbois solo associé de l’Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, à partager la scène avec lui, dimanche après-midi le 18 décembre prochain, dans le cadre de la série Concert intime à la Fondation Guido-Molinari au 3290, rue Sainte-Catherine Est à Montréal.
Le programme du concert comportera trois quintettes avec hautbois des compositeurs canadiens Brian Cherney, Elizabeth Raum et Stuart Grant. 
De plus, le Molinari reçoit la jeune mezzo-soprano Odile Portugais qui chantera des airs de Handël et de Vivaldi
