On stage, the Molinari Quartet delivers a radiant performance of selected pieces from the classical repertoire.Founded in 2009, La compagnie Virginie Brunelle has been presented on local, national and international stages in more than 50 cities across the globe. This concert is organised by Schafer’s widow Eleanor James and Soundstreams with the collaboration of Grace Church-on-the-Hill and the Canadian Music centre.
To pay tribute to Schafer, Soundstreams’ Founding Artistic Director Lawrence Cherney has put together a small sample of Schafer’s masterworks to be performed by some of Schafer’s long time collaborators and friends.
The Molinari Quartet is the guest of the Luminato Festival to celebrate R. Murray Schafer’s legacy.
The Quartet will perform on the stage at Yonge-Dundas Square at 7pm a concert of 45 minutes of Schafer’s string quartets.
