The Molinari’s take the air with their new podcast, The Molinari Quartet’s Studio. Follow all of the Quartet’s activities through this new podcast. You’ll hear interviews with the musicians of the Quartet and with composers, discussions and information on our concerts and on the repertoire for string quartet. You will know everything about our achievements and projects! Hosted by Jean Portugais with the participation of artistic director and first violinist of the Quartet Olga Ranzenhofer, this podcast is a place for discussion and in-depth look on the works performed by the Molinari’s. To give you a foretaste of our upcoming concerts, you will hear excerpts of the works to be performed. The latest CD of the Molinari Quartet has just been released under the ATMA Classique label. The double CD comprises the complete string quartets and the String Trio by Italian composer Giacinto Scelsi (1905-1988).

The Molinari Quartet’s 9th International Composition Competition is entering a crucial phase! The date limit of April 1st 2024 to receive the applications is past and the Quartet has received no less than 111 new scores from 33 countries. The variety of styles of the new works reveals the fundamental place the string quartet occupies in new music today.
