In preparation for the October 27 concert, the Molinari Quartet and the director of the Molinari Foundation, Marie-Ève Beaupré, will host Dutch artists Udo Prinsen and Wilbert Bulsink, as well as Quebec artist Denis Gougeon, as part of the “Musique à voir” series on Sunday, October 25, at 3:00 p.m. at the Molinari Foundation, 3290 Ste-Catherine Street East in Montreal.

The artists will discuss the creative process behind their works and how the paintings by Molinari and Mondrian influenced their new string quartets. The discussion will also shed light on the video artist’s creative process as it relates to music. In addition, images of the paintings that inspired the composers will be projected to highlight the connection between the paintings and the music.

Finally, the musicians of the Molinari Quartet will perform excerpts from new works that illustrate the direct connections to the paintings of Molinari and Mondrian.
