Last week, the musicians of the Molinari Quartet spent three days at St-Augustin de Mirabel church to record the first four quartets by American minimalist composer Philip Glass. This is the first of a set of recordings to be made of the complete string quartes by Glass for the ATMA Classique record label. Sound engineer Anne-Marie Sylvestre was at the helm of the sessions and gave valuable advices to the musicians. Hats and masks were on hand in the cool church!
