The winners of the 8th International Composition Competition
Montreal, Friday February 26 2022 – During its concert on Friday February 26 at the Montreal Conservatory of Music, the Molinari Quartet premiered the quartets by the winners of its Eighth International Composition Competition for String Quartet. The winners were chosen among 115 works received from 33 countries.
Following the concert the jury – composed of the members of the Molinari Quartet and composers Denis Gougeon and Jimmie LeBlanc – deliberated to choose the order of the laureates.
The recipients shared $6350 in prizes and the first prize winner was given a silkscreen by renowned Canadian artist Guido Molinari generously offered by the Guido Molinari Foundation.
1st prize, 3000$ scholarship and a silkscreen by Guido Molinari

Audience Choice Award, 350$ scholarship
