The Molinari Quartet presents a concert for a small audience and with respect of social distancing in the intimate setting of the Molinari Foundation. Blue Music presents works by Quebec composers and one by Polish composer Penderecki.
The Molinari Quartet presents a concert for a small audience and with respect of social distancing in the intimate setting of the Molinari Foundation. Blue Music presents works by Quebec composers and one by Polish composer Penderecki.
The Molinari Quartet is invited to perform in this tribute concert to R. Murray Schafer, who passed away one year ago.
This concert features musicians who collaborated with Schafer and who have an intimate knowledge of his chamber music.
During this free event, you will hear excerpts of the quartets to be performed on the October 14 concert, you will get analysis of the works and be able to discuss with the musicians to get a better understanding and appreciation of the works.

Don’t miss the anniversary-concert celebrating the 25 years of the Molinari Quartet. The Quartet will perform important works from its repertoire that have highlighted its 25 years of music making. Eastern European quartets are at the heart of the concert.
Ce théâtre musical familial est une présentation du Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée et du Quatuor Molinari en collaboration avec Mme Catherine Perrin, au clavecin et à la narration. Onze fables seront récitées par Catherine Perrin et illustrées par une musique de Denis Gougeon pour clavecin et quatuor à cordes, et par celle de Jean-Philippe Rameau pour clavecin. La première partie fera entendre Molinari dans le Quatuor op. 11 de Samuel Barber (avec son célèbre Adagio), suivi des Fables en seconde partie.
