Concerts-Montreal

This musical theatre is a presentation of the Conseil des arts de Montréal en tournée and of the Molinari Quartet in collaboration with Mrs Catherine Perrin, at the harpsichord and narration. Eleven fables will be recited by Catherine Perrin and illustrated with musics by Denis Gougeon for harpsichord and string quartet and by Jean-Philippe Rameau for harpsichord. The first part of the concert will have the Molinari Quartet perform Samuel Barber’s Quartet op.11 (with the celebrated Adagio) followed by the fables in the second part.

An innovative multimedia creation combining music and immersive video scenography, inspired by the work and destiny of Camille Claudel, an exceptional French sculptor.
Works by Debussy, Heggie and Tailleferre.

Musical refinement, elegance and subtlety are at the forefront of this concert by the Molinari Quartet. You will hear the premiere of Brian Cherney's 7th string quartet, Four Quarters by Thomas Adès and Benjamin Britten's Quartet no.2.
