The dancers from the Compagnie de danse Virginie Brunelle and the musicians of the Molinari Quartet are off to Vancouver for 4 shows of «Les corps avalés» as guests of the Vancouver International Dance festival from February 28 to March 2 at Vancouver’s Playhouse Theatre.
Springing from an extraordinary union between classical music, performed live by the Molinari Quartet, and contemporary dance, Les corps avalés is a moving human odyssey that reveals Virginie Brunelle’s sensitive intelligence and great musicality in all its luminous power.
The Molinari Quartet accompanies live on stage the dancers with music by Philip Glass, Henryk Górecki, Dimitri Chostakovitch and Samuel Barber, among others.
